“As per AISTA sources, sugar export promotions of about eighteen lakh MT for 2021-22 year have been carried out so much. They all are without having any subsidy,” Vithlani said in a assertion.
Sugar mills struggling with complications
According to the Indian Sugar Mill Association (ISMA), the total acreage underneath sugarcane in the state is estimated to be all-around fifty four.37 lakh hectares in 2021-22 sugar year, which is about 3 per cent greater than 2020-21 sugar season’s cane region of 52.88 lakh hectares.
