HHS awards $20 million to increase telehealth access

The U.S. Office of Overall health and Human Services, by way of the Overall health Assets and Services Administration, has awarded $20 million to increase telehealth entry and infrastructure for providers and family members to assist avert and respond to COVID-19.

The resources will guide telehealth providers with cross-point out licensure to improve entry to healthcare all through the pandemic.

They are: The American Academy of Pediatrics – Pediatric Treatment in Illinois, which received $6 million the Association of Maternal and Boy or girl Overall health Programs – General public Overall health Methods in Washington, D.C., which received $4 million Relatives Voices, Inc. – Relatives Engagement for Youngsters with Exclusive Overall health Treatment Requires in New Mexico, which received $1 million and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill – Maternal Overall health Treatment, North Carolina, which received $4 million.

HRSA’s Federal Office of Rural Overall health Plan awarded a total of $five million to two recipients to operate with expert and point out licensing boards and countrywide compacts to build a streamlined course of action for telehealth clinicians to acquire multi-point out licensure.

The Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards in Ga and the Federation of State Health care Boards of the United States in Texas every single received $two.five million.
