The Pink Dust quality of acquired leaf factory, Homedale Estate, auctioned by World wide Tea Brokers, topped the overall auctions when Tea Companies India Pvt Ltd acquired it for ₹294 a kg. The Pink Dust quality from a different acquired leaf factory, Crosshill Estate, auctioned by World wide Tea Brokers, fetched the next maximum rate of ₹240 a kg. Pinewood Estate received ₹236. Even orthodox teas from corporates fetched considerably less than this.
Quotations with the brokers indicated ₹74-77 a kg for simple Leaf grades and ₹145-182 for the greatest grades. For simple Dust grades, they ranged ₹75-76 and for the greatest grades, ₹148-186.
